From Pony to Princess

A normal unicorn pony who resides in Ponyville. The star-pupil of Princess Celestia. The studios book horse of the fandom. Twilight Sparkle began her journey in Ponyville as she was sent there by Princess Celestia to learn the one thing she could never understand; Friendship. Even as a child Twilight had little to no friends, as she always prioritized her studies and never saw any value in friends. Yet by the end of the series she is the Princess of Friendship and the current ruler of Equestria.

We see her journey from start to finish as she learns the way of friendship and solves problems with the help of her friends. We see her grow as a pony as she learns new things along with her friends as they live their lives and face problems both big and small. One big way to notice her development throughout the show is the frequency of her panic attacks. In the beginning she is prone to panicking when she is late with her studies or when something does not go according to plan, but as the show runs we see her doing this less and less which even leads to her staying calm in most situations, surprising even her friends. We see her grow smarter and wiser but we also see that she is grateful for her friends and that she would do anything for them.

Twilight Sparkle is a character that shows knowledge but it is through her that it is also shown the importance of friends as they help you even in the toughest of times and can even help expand your base of knowledge or reveal things that you did not know about yourself.
